About RFUANZ
RFUANZ is a non-profit organization whose membership includes Local Government Authorities, Transport, Communications, Courier, Taxi, Veterinary, Consultancy, Radio Dealer, Radio Network Operators, Tourism companies and private individuals.
RFUANZ was formed in 1990, following de-regulation of the Telecommunications industry, and as a result of the merging of the traditional Radio-Telephone User Associations and private two-way radio Network Suppliers.
The prime function of RFUANZ is to:
Protect—the rights of organizations and individuals who require access to the Radio/Wireless Spectrum to maintain and support their business
Promote—The Wireless Spectrum is a finite resource and under constantly increasing pressure from competing interests.
Preserve—RFUANZ provides a collective voice, that is recognized in Government circles, for member organizations and users throughout NZ, that depend on equitable and fair access to the radio/wireless spectrum
